Composition serves as narrative, making it a crucial aspect of my artistic process. In paintings, composition provides direction and timelines within the artwork. It's like revealing the process of contemplation. In that regard, I believe that narratives exist within composition.
This series consists of black and white elements created using charcoal and gesso. Just as shape and form are essential for creating composition, I wanted to exclude color and focus on objective depictions rooted in facts rather than emotional portrayal. By tracing my narrative to construct the composition, I employed black and white elements to shape and define forms. Therefore, this series, “Narrative Mosaics”, represents a collection of artworks that objectively observe and document my stories during the time of their creation.
